Russia’s aggression against Ukraine affected the entire Ukrainian society and faced many very difficult decisions. Everyone had to find a new role for themselves – join the armed struggle, save themselves by escaping from their place of residence, deal with everyday life after shellings, loss of loved ones or the experience of violence. The war also showed once again that “there is nothing of woman in it”. In our discussion, we want to demonstrate the price paid by Ukrainian women as both heroines and victims of the war in their country. We invited to the discussion people who can look at the situation of women from different perspectives, as directly involved in helping, reporting the war in the media, or scientifically dealing with women and security.
